May’s Call for Snap General Election

May’s Call for Snap General Election
You are most welcome to reply or contact with us concerning any opinion about the French Election. Please feel free to contact us on Facebook, Twitter or send us an email.
If you are new to our product, just find our free app on Google Play.

The past twelve months in world politics has been full of referendums and general elections: since last June, we have the EU Referendum in Britain; the US election and President Trump; the failed referendum in Italy; a failed coup d’état in Turkey and a referendum a few days ago; the Dutch election; and the upcoming French election… Yet it is clear that the British Prime Minister, Theresa May was not totally satisfied with the number as she called for a snap general election on the eighth of June. That would be about merely two years since last general election.

The Prime Minister said she made the decision due to frustration in Brexit negotiations both within and beyond the Parliament, while it has been criticised as irresponsible for putting a general election before any agreement with the EU. She justified the decision by saying ‘The country is coming together, but Westminster is not’, but in fact the opposite seems to have more truth as the Parliament are currently far more united than people in the country. Another example that the term ‘country’ does not necessarily mean the people. Did I mention that last week, the House of Commons voted in favour of an early election with a margin of 509? A bit of an own goal here, mate. ‘If you can't ignore the facts, Prime Minister, you have no business being in government.’

Mrs May and the Tories might think the timing is right for them to grab more power in Westminster when the Conservative Party now hold a massive majority of 44 percent, but there are enough things for her to worry, since after all, she’s never won a general election.

People talk about Brexit not only because it’s important for Britain, but also because of its repercussion to the rest of the world. For centuries this nice little country… oops, sorry for this remark, I’m from China. This country has always been setting examples to others, well, in one way or the other. Now it is clear that Brexit has not only brought a widespread Euroscepticism in the EU, but also a wider wave of protectionism across the world.

Interestingly, it is said that internet companies such as we are playing a big role in shaping up the these sentiments among the angry voters, just think about how social media helped the Americans to vote for the man who’s interested in building walls, both literally and figuratively.

But that is simply not true! As team designing keyboard apps, we believe in making the best ever mobile keyboard for you. However, what you type with it is purely your concern. You don’t blame there is pen and paper just because someone uses it to write bad things, do you? On the contrary, I would argue the real problem is that people with conscience and wisdom such as you are often not as good in using today’s mobile technology as those who support protectionism. So to be clear, it’s not about the technology, it’s how we use it.

So how do you react to the early general election? We would like to listen to your true voices about this, to restore our faith in the role of the internet and freedom of speech, even in today’s politics. If you disagree with something, do put forward your arguments. Obviously you remain the right be keep silent, but you might risk losing the battlefield of the internet to those who oppose you.

So what is your opinion? We wish to listen to them for a more balanced and global view about the world politics. Please do not hesitate to send us your attitudes. Just contact us via Facebook, Twitter or email.

French Elections: Stand by France with Typany Keyboard

French Elections: Stand by France with Typany Keyboard

En Marche ! vs Remettre la France en ordre

You are most welcome to reply or contact with us concerning any opinion about the French Election. Please feel free to contact us on Facebook, Twitter or send us an email.
If you are new to our product, just find our free app on Google Play.
Here we come to the final stage of l'élection présidentielle française! With no one winning a majority in the first round of the presidential election, there will be a run-off election between the two most popular candidates, Mr Emmanuel Macron and Ms Marine Le Pen, on 7th of May. This year’s French election is widely considered to be one of the most important in decades, and the Typany Keyboard Studio would like to listen to your voices about this election no matter who you are, where you are from, and what political stance you are in.

But wait a minute, what has French Election got to do with Typany Keyboard? Well, it may not have direct impact on the development of our product instantly, but there are plenty of reasons why we are interested in the result of such an election:

Firstly, as a technology company to bring you the best all-language (not at this stage, alas, but it has been our goal) mobile keyboard, we do believe globalisation. Any questioning over globalisation is the questioning over our endeavour and dedication, so as a result, we would always stand by those who support the process that integrate and unite our world. For decades (if not centuries) France has been a great advocate for free trade, globalisation and intercultural communication. Yet things may be about to change as the Front National candidate Marine Le Pen aims to seize her opportunity to the presidency in an attempt to control immigration and keep France away from the tide of globalisation. Well, no offence to Ms Le Pen, but we believe that would be counterproductive for both the French economy and the French people.

Secondly, Typany Keyboard respect and support the French modern values and its rich and unique cultural. We do appreciate such cultural heritages and have included many French elements in our personalised themes and stickers packs. France has not only made great contribution to the world’s literature, art and fashion, but also great enlightenment values such as liberty, equality, tolerance, and democracy. Yet recently these values has been seriously threatened by the prevalence of terrorism and the consequent protectionism. Since any threat to them is threat to humanity and the whole civilisation as we know it, we are shortly releasing a new theme featuring on Paris with the title of ‘Paris s'allume’ as we would stand firm with the French people in the fight against hatred and terrorism.

Thirdly, as a keyboard app studio, we also believe in the freedom of speech and intercultural communication. Since it is our goal to help you type anything, anytime, in anywhere, we would be very pleased to see your opinion about the upcoming French Election, and of course you are most welcome to use Typany Keyboard, which is designed to bring you both joy and productivity.
So what is your opinion? We wish to listen to them for a more balanced and global view about the world politics. Please do not hesitate to send us your attitudes. Just contact us via Facebook, Twitter or email

Animated Themes

To find out more about the animated themes and our wide range of delicate user experience designs, feel free to contact us on Facebook, Twitter or send us an email.
If you are new to our product, just find our free app on Google Play.

Spring is the season when everything grows and the world is changing with an amazing pace. And that is why we decide that it will not be adequate to design a theme displaying spring holidays without any dynamic element. So, we would like to slightly break the tradition of themes with static pictures, and bring you a completely new kind of keyboard interface. On April 4th, we released the theme Happy Easter, showing our first attempt for an animated theme on Typany Keyboard. The video-powered theme is more colourful and vigorous, while having little effect on your typing experience, making your typing interface more amusing but not distracting. And above all, it is just a few megabytes on your phone, so it will not be a heavy burden on the storage.

We are also pleased to inform you that the Happy Easter theme will be the start of a new era of keyboard personalisation releases. We are currently developing an exquisite collection of animated themes to ensure more of them will show up on Google Play later on. If you are interested in more animated theme releases or have any advice or contribution in mind, feel free to contact us via Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google+, and email. Or join our Facebook Group and help us design the keyboard app that revolutionise your typing experience!

Text Bang – Revolutionise Your Text Editing Experience

To find out more about our powerful functions and careful user experience designs, feel free to contact us on Facebook, Twitter or send us an email

If you are new to our product, just find our free app on Google Play

In the mobile era people tend to make text messages as short as possible. This is partly because it is always too time-consuming to type loads of words in your mobile phones. But sometimes we do need to use our little digital device for more complex purposes. Imagine you are on a train without your laptop and need to send an email to explain a very sophisticated issue to a highly important person. Then you have to take full advantage of your mobile phone to develop a lengthy email with delicate wording (probably a double check as well).

While mobile keyboards have been generally disappointing for long text editing, Typany Keyboard is bringing you a totally different way to edit your long sentences. We name the new function ‘Text Bang’, as it is like a bomb that split every word and sign apart so that you can easily select, copy or delete whatever words (also punctuation & signs) you would like to.

It is very easy to use Text Bang, which is achievable by just pressing the bomb key beside Typany on your keyboard.  Yet by splitting the words from each other, it brings you much convenience to modify your sentences. For example, you can select words you would like to copy or delete much more freely and efficiently than conventional word selecting by either double clicking or long press. It also allows you to select words that are not connected to each other, which is simply brilliant.

Of course this is by no means a perfect function at this stage, as there are a few limitations in the current Text Bang. For instance, the function is still a bit too simple. It would be much more useful if it gives thesaurus suggestions to the words you select, or allows you to edit them. Another obvious limitation is that it cannot be used to edit long paragraphs since it is both inefficient and confusing to edit paragraphs on the word-to-word level. What if I am using my mobile phone to write a feature news report? The good news is that we have already planned a further Text Bang version that enables both word editing and long text editing mode on the sentence level. However, we would like to listen to your advice if you have extra need for intensive mobile text editing. So feel free to express your advice, complaint or whatever you would like to say to us as we do need them!

For we this is a great innovation as it breaks the tradition of editing your text on the basic typing interface. Your cell phones will always have limited screen sizes for typing as you expect them to be portable, and such limitation also restrict your typing efficiency. Since the only way to enlarge your effective editing space on your smart phones (and therefore to improve productivity) is to edit text on another interface, Text Bang is a sensible option. It may not be a generally applicable editing tool at once, but we do believe it will prevail with improvements.

What is your advice toward our new feature? Let us know your user experience of Text Bang or what you think about it. We would always like to hear from your advice via Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google+, and email. Join Typany Community and help us design the keyboard app that revolutionise your typing experience!
