Is There a Best Keyboard for the Kindle Fire Ever Exist?

With so many keyboard options available for Android, there's no reason to limit ourselves to the default one, or to just the ones available in the Amazon Appstore. How do you know which keyboard app will be the best for your Kindle Fire? What criteria should you consider when looking for an alternative keyboard?

Your Kindle Fire’s keyboard is much like the keyboard you use on your computer. However, unlike your computer’s keyboard, this one has no physical keys. Instead, your Kindle Fire’s keyboard uses touch, just like the rest of the interface.

At first, you might find the Kindle Fire’s keyboard a bit hard to get used to, especially if you’re typing a lengthy e-mail or document. After some time, with Typany Keyboard, however, you’ll find it to be an easy way to enter data.

“I use Typany Keyboard on my Android phone and LOVE it. But when I go to use the keyboard app on the Kindle Fire, I struggle with things that are sooo much easier to perform with the Typany keyboard app.” — One of Our Loyal Users

Luckily, there's a fairly simple way to open up the keyboard selection on the Kindle Fire. With Typany Keyboard you'll be able to apply various styles and layouts that suit you best.

Kindle Fire tablets are equipped with quite a decent keyboard app which is both nice-looking and comfortable. However, some people (including me) like to choose typany keyboard app which can sometimes make your typing much more efficient and even less prone to typos.

I guess…

That’s the only reason why Amazon’s Kindle Fire picks us.
With the new release of Typany Keyboard for Amazon’s tablet, all of the app’s latest features are available and create the most user-friendly, helpful and personalized keyboard for Kindle users.

Card

please contact us via Facebook, Twitter, or send us an email.

St Patrick’s Day is coming, alongside with our Typany Shamrock Campaign! In three days, the whole Ireland and the worldwide Irish community will turn green to celebrate one of the most important traditional festivals in Ireland. If green is the theme colour of St Patrick’s Day, then shamrock is definitely the icon of the holiday. It all began with the ancient Irish tale that St Patrick preached the Christian canon of trinity (Father, Son and Holy Spirit) with the image of a shamrock. Then three-leafed plant then became a symbol for the Irish ethnic identity, which later developed into the three principal Irish values: Love, Valor and Wit (in reference to the poem of Irish poet Thomas Moore).

In accordance with the ‘trinity’ principle of St Patrick’s Day, this year’s Shamrock Campaign also features on the three principles of Typany Keyboard. Choose three keywords from below that you believe as the three key features of our product and submit your answer by replying directly to this blog, send us an email, or message to our Facebook or Twitter account. Those who got the correct answers will be rewarded with the Typany VIP Community Card, which will bring you a vast number of privileges while using Typany Keyboard, and is completely free of charge. So why are you hesitating?

Our question:
What are the three key features of Typany Keyboard?  Choose three from the words listed below as your answers.

Creativity, Intelligence, Pleasure, Efficiency, Perception,
Entertainment, Design, Accuracy, Productivity, Customisation,
Elegance, simplicity

Have you got the answers? You need to have at least one correct answer to the question to secure your Typany VIP Community Card, and will be awarded with a VIP+ Membership to the Community if you get all the correct answers.

What is Typany VIP Community Card?

The ‘price’ will be 5 Typanici for a theme and 10 Typanici for a pack of stickers. Keep in mind that whole scheme of Typanico is still under construction. The plan is highly prioritised at the moment, however, we cannot promise any completion date for it. Typany Keyboard Team reserves the right to modify or terminate the plan for the Typanico Programme.

Celebrate the Festival of Colours with Typany

Celebrate the Festival of Colours with Typany

Try our flamboyant and exotic Holi Festival theme at once.

For more information concerning Typany Keyboard and our fine collection
of themes follow us on Facebook or Twitter.

People around the world celebrate spring for its warmth, gentleness and above all, its bright colours. For me it is a season for action, appreciation, exploration and celebration. People around the world celebrate spring, as we can find hundreds of festivals attributed to the first season of the year. It will be difficult to choose the best celebration of spring, but I would say that the Hindi festival of Holi is certainly the most colourful. Typany Keyboard decides to release the Holi Festival featured theme to celebrate the traditional Hindu spring festival, which will be on the 13th of March this year.
There are indeed a lot of things you can talk about the ancient-rooted festival. You can talk about the Holika Dahan i.e. the Hindu ritual of burning the demon, you can also talk about the 7th-century drama of Ratnavali, which mentioned the celebration of Holi Festival by ancient Indian people. But as an outsider who is not that learned about Indian culture, it is definitely the beautiful coloured powders people throw at each other that impress me the most about the festival. That is also what we consider most in designing the theme for Holi as you can see the intense and courageous use of colours on the keyboard. The background is like a melting pot of dozens of colours with traditional Indian patterns, representing the poured powder after the festival. You can also find a row of coloured handprints on the space key, which is a master’s stroke.

Personally, I feel that Holi is the best celebration that features on both the active and colourful sides of spring. I remember my first experience of Holi a few years ago when I was in university. It was great fun: vibrant, unpredictable, engaging, and of course full of bright colours. You cannot imagine how magical the coloured powder looks until you take a grab and join in the wild adventure in the Festival of Colours.

Why not try our Holi Festival Theme this year? Our themes are designed for you to maximise your intercultural experience and improve your creativity. We hope our spring collection of themes could help you explore in this enjoyable and colourful season. Happy Holi! होली मुबारक!

Shortcut for Numbers and Special Characters

Shortcut for Numbers and Special Characters

Our little effort to improve your productivity

To find out more about Typany Keyboard and our group, visit us on Facebook or Twitter

What I shall discuss in the following text is the typing of numbers and signs. We need to type numbers and signs (including punctuation) quite often, but such simple stuffs are not that easy to type on your digital devices due to the limited size of your screen. In traditional mobile keyboards, we always need to press the switching key in the corner to type numbers and signs. This could be rather frustrating when you are typing a lot of them not only because of the extra clicks of the switching key, but also because there might be a lag once you click the key, making the extra time you spend in these characters even longer and annoying.

You may not realise how frustrating it could be, probably as you do not need to type numbers that often and your daily usage of punctuation is just commas and full stops. But as a former mathematics major, I would say that this inconvenience could be intolerable when I was discussing mathematical problems with my mobile phone, and the default Android keyboard was as clumsy as a sloth. I am sure you know what I mean, and no offence to sloth lovers.

Our Solution:

To solve this problem, we redesigned our touch keyboard and inserted shortcuts to numbers and signs in the letter keys. To type a number or a sign, you just need to long press a certain key instead of switching to the number/sign keyboard and then switching back. You do not need to memorise the location of each number or sign as they are already shown in their respective key with a smaller size. For example, you simply need to long press the letter p for the number 0, or long press the letter v for the underscore.

We understand that many people would long press for accented characters, like the acute é in café or coup détat. Diacritical marks might not be rare in English but are important in most European languages like French, Spanish, and German. To make sure you can always type your chosen characters, we adapt the number/sign shortcuts to the accented keys. When long pressing the letter a or e, you can find both the collection of accented letters, and the respective sign/number (@ and 3). The number/sign shortcut is positioned in the default position, because in most cases, diacritical marks are added by either the auto-correction or word prediction (if you are the language of the keyboard use them). But if you do need to type them with a long press, just hold and slide to the right character.

With the shortcuts to numbers and signs, Typany Keyboard significantly accelerates your productivity and make your typing more enjoyable and amusing. We shall optimise these shortcuts and make them more intelligent and customised in the future. But we do need your advice on how we can improve our product and design a well-functioned and inspiring keyboard application. So, we are really looking forward to your feedback, attitude or advice on Typany Keyboard. To contact us, simply reply or visit us on Facebook, Twitter, Google+, or send us an email

Poll: swipe typing or quick cursor flicks?

Poll of the Week
To participate in more polls provided by Typany, visit us on Twitter
Which one do you prefer: swipe typing or quick cursor flicks?
A. Swipe typing
B. Arguments on both sides
C. Quick cursor flicks
D. Neither, really
You can answer the question by replying either to this post directly, or to the original poll in Twitter.
The Typany Keyboard Team would like to listen to your voices about how we should design our product. Therefore, we would design a variety of polls to ask for your advice on Typany Keyboard. We usually post our polls on Twitter on a daily basis, but would also redirect some of the key questions which we hope you to answer. This week, our featured question is which one do you prefer: swipe typing or quick cursor flicks? We would like to ask this question as the feedback to the quick cursor flicks function that we introduced last week. (What are quick cursor flicks? )
To find out more about our polls and contribute to our efforts to improve Typany Keyboard, visit us on Twitter and have your vote. New to Typany Keyboard? Try our free product on Google Play now! You can also contact us via Facebook.

Quick Cursor Flicks

Quick Cursor Flicks
Typany’s Solution to Guarantee Your Customised Typing

For more information about customisation of Typany, find us on Facebook or Twitter

User’s satisfaction has always been Typany’s top priority, as we are doing what we can to provide you with the most efficient and customised keyboard app on this planet. Customisation is of vital importance for mobile phone users, as we all have our unique languages, i.e. there is always a set of codes that formulate your own usage of language(s) and distinguish yourself from others. Maybe you think it is nothing, but we do see the necessity to make Typany Keyboard the guardian for your individual preference on your language(s) and ensure your freedom to innovate openly with your smart phones.

BUT…

The problem:

In everyday usage of mobile keyboard, we come across such situation from time to time: when we need to modify a word, we always need to clear part or the whole of the word and then retype the modified one. Things could be worse if the word happens to be quite long and for some reason you find it difficult to accurately put the cursor to the place you want it to appear. Trust me, it could be quite frustrating…

Well, maybe a little bit exaggerated… But it could happen quite frequently when you are writing a formal email or designing an advertisement slogan and need to reconsider about your choice of words carefully.

Our solution:

To avoid this annoying circumstance, we designed the quick cursor flicks to help you edit your words more easily. With quick cursor flicks, you are allowed to move the cursor backward with a swipe to the left on the keyboard. (Similarly, you can also swipe to the right and move the cursor forward.) Such a swipe is both quicker and more accurate than conventional ways to move the cursor: it is more time saving than a string of consecutive clicks on the backspace, while it is usually more accurate than moving the cursor on the text.

Typany Keyboard Team decides to provide you with quick cursor flicks as we care most about your user experience. It is not only the typing productivity that is our prime concern, but also your experience of expressing freely and effectively. We aim to provide you with the product to break the language barriers and help you communicate better, and most importantly, to provide you with the keyboard app that is designed for you as an individual.
