Love Gift & its Gifted Designer
To find out more about art design in Typany, like us on Facebook or Twitter

Typany Keyboard Team puts user experience at its top priority, and there will not be any good user experience without beautiful art design. To achieve this, we aim to search for talented graphic designers across the world in a bid to make Typany the best designed keyboard app ever. One of the best example of our consistent dedication for art design is our superb collection of themes. There is not one word that could summarise the design of our themes as they focus on a great variety of features. Our featured themes range from simple geometry to sophisticated decorations, and from reassuring traditional background to courageous futuristic fantasies. But above all, excellence is what we value, and quality is what we aim to bring you via our well designed themes.

Mr Gifty is one of our fabulous graphic team who contribute to our theme collection. We would like to address him as ‘Gifty’ not only because of his design of our theme named ‘Love Gift’, but also because of his spectacular gift in art design. Born and grown up in the brand new city of Navi Mumbai in India, Gifty has been a productive free-lance graphic designer with over ten years’ drawing experience.

I think it is always top priority to design a keyboard theme with great quality. Quality is what I believe and quality is what I shall maintain. And I think firms like you (Typany) should have a high standard for quality to make sure that the users could have the best service.
Mr Gifty

He is indeed the one who always focus on quality, and his ‘Love Gift’ is an perfect example of his artistic talent and his full consideration for the user’s experience.

Mr Gifty designed the theme ‘Love Gift’ for Typany’s recent campaign for Spring Time Encounter, and it became an instant success with thousands of downloads on Google Play in hours. The picture is clear and simple, and there are no flowery colours or intricate designs, but the image is vivid and powerful. There are only three objects on this image (if you do not count the desk in the background), which is clearly a careful consideration for user’s experience as it will not distract user’s typing while applying this theme. The colours of them are warm and bright, best suitable for couples. Their shapes are well-proportioned and are placed on the desk with balance and harmony. That is exactly what kind of romantic gift you would like to prepare for the one you love, isn’t it?

Gifty has already expressed his potential intention to design a further collection of keyboard themes. And we would be really excited to cooperate with him again to provide you with more themes with great quality.

As a fan of Apple, I do think I may need some justification for this complimentary post for a third party keyboard app that actually performs better on Android than on iOS. To be honest, I have been using the default iOS keyboard for the past seven years since my first smart phone, and have been almost completely ignorant about any keyboard app at all. It was just a few weeks ago when I started my current job and were given my ‘official’ business Android phone. It was all OK but I did found it extremely frustrating using the default keyboard. No offense to Android users, my friends, but I did find it intolerable and began to search for third part keyboard for the first time in my life. I downloaded quite a lot of them in order to compare different products and was particularly impressed by an application called Typany due to its enhanced texting efficiency. I guess it must have improved my typing productivity by at least 65 percent, which is simply awesome. I wonder how this Typany Team accomplish such an enormous job.

Another thing that I found it interesting to type with this app is its colorful artwork including original themes and stickers. Typany allows me to pick from a variety of themes, including different color schemes for the keyboard, or even selecting a custom background image. It did surprised me that I found I could customize the keyboard theme with my own pictures, which is incredible (well, probably as I’ve been using iOS for such a long time).

I do find it both amusing and inspiring using such a creative and innovative keyboard app, and am beginning to enjoy using the Android phone for work. I think it have made me more creative and industrious in my work. For years it has been difficult for me to find any stimulus for innovation and Typany is just the kind of app that facilitate me with the materials I need to push the boundaries and challenge the forms.

I noticed that it also inspires us to create our own community, and helps us embrace the world emerge ourselves in a larger, multicultural environment.

The app, which is available in Google Play Store for free, serves as a virtual tour guide and contains fresh contents and various trivia games. Typany allows me to explore into myself, and sometimes even navigates me in situations where I found boring or frustrating. It is definitely something that makes me enjoy myself in the worlds of busy schedule.

I’ve found a brand new angle to look at the world and communicate with people of various cultures thanks to the installation of Typany Keyboard.

Typany Keyboard Team aims to bring you the mobile keyboard that is not only functional, but also enjoyable. We provide a vast collection of stickers so that you can always find it amusing to type with Typany. As a way to push the cultural and language boundaries, we try our best to make our stickers elegant, funny and easy to understand. This is based on our splendid designer team of talented artists. Our team of graphic designers come from across the globe so that we can bring you with stickers with different artistic styles and various cultural elements.

If you fancy some funny and innovative stickers, then Rubens Cantuni might just be your choice. Born in Italy, now living in California and being crazy about Japanese culture, the multicultural artist possesses great genius, passion and imagination. Being a master of observation and creativity, Rubens’ works are always simple but with great fun. As a lover for popular culture, Rubens is good at turning everyday objects into subtle amusement with no mistake.

He designed two sets of stickers for us, each was both entertaining and innovative. His iconic Soda Cans set was simple but powerful as it reflects his careful observation and colourful imagination of his favourite drink, as he said ‘I thought they could make great characters, considering that empty soda cans can be smashed, cut open, deformed etc, and this could help convey emotions as a sticker pack.’ He also expressed the willingness to design a pizza sticker set as a companion to the soda cans.

He made another success in the Russian Doll series as he unconventionally depicted the dolls as containing customised contents rather than identical smaller dolls inside the bigger one. Such innovation from the traditional stereotype of matryoshka dolls brings great entertainment with the dolls, and makes them more individualised like different characters. We can see the furious doll with flames and the cheerful doll with confetti, for instance. These modified Russian dolls won great popularity among our users as they present traditional cultural in humorous way.

Love Gift

by Sarah B.

Living in a world where lifestyles have been increasingly influenced by technology, sometimes we feel quite alienated from what life used to be about. Living in Chelmsford while working Canary Wharf as a financial adviser, life is both packed and lost. Packed in the endless five-days-a-week commuting for one and a half hour by train and then through the tube, and lost in the typical indifference of Londoners that have existed probably since the very this city came into being. That is perhaps why for some time I had been a bit fed up with traditional holidays. I am, of course, not against the idea of festivity at all, since I have always been a big fan of traditions, the sensible ones anyway. But I find it more and more difficult to maintain as people seem to prefer convenience and efficiency in this highly urbanised planet.

So when I woke up on 14 February a few days ago, I was not excited at all despite having a long-time partner who loves me well (as far as I know). Especially when I realised that it was still Tuesday and I booked an advance ticket to Liverpool Street and I have got merely one and a half hour. Jim had already gone for his early-morning class and I found no time to delay for even one single minute. It was an okay journey with bright and mild weather for a mid-February day, but I had no time to enjoy the trip as I needed to finish a financial report before noon and had not started yet. So I switched on my laptop once I get on the train and started to make full use of the 30 minutes on the train. Jim sent me a WhatsApp message of ‘Happy Valentines darling!’ with an emoji which I couldn’t see from the notification of my phone and I chose to simply ignore it at first sight.

Happy Valentines?! Who care about Valentines if you need to commute to London and have loads of work to do? For me Valentines’ Day seemed to be the privilege for the carefree teenagers who still have the energy to push themselves through Oxford Circus and wait for trendy and busy restaurants, but not for city commuters like Jim and I. On the other hand, we find it more and more difficult to think of anything innovative for each year’s Valentines’ Day instead of sending useless gifts.
But Jim seemed to be determined to catch my notice which I found a bit surprised as he is always quite silent and knows well that I am not into Valentines’ Day these years. I was just about to complain when I found my keyboard was changed and there was a lovely background picture with a nicely decorated Valentine gift, probably with chocolate inside, a delicate wooden heart on a red envelope on a desk. I found myself replying a ‘Happy Valentines’ in return and there was a sudden impulse of warmth that struck inside of my chest, which reminded me of the the very first Valentine’s gift Jim gave me nearly ten years ago. It was a little wooden bear that he carved by himself with exactly the same colour and texture with the heart. I was honestly both impressed and moved...

Then I checked my phone and found there was a Typany Keyboard app and it was the Valentines’ Day featured theme ‘Love Gift’ that impressed and struck me. Jim had always been fascinated by modern technology, which I found annoying from time to time. But this time, I was rather pleased, maybe even a little thrilled. The little keyboard theme did brought me great joy and made me reconsider about what life is about or should be about. For years, I’ve been busying with balance sheets and forgetting to enjoy the creativity of life. Then I realised that it is the details and every little thing we created that fill our life with warmth and joy.
We spent a wonderful Valentines’ Day this year but with a totally different experience from the past few years. We canceled our presents and decided to do something creative in our house. We decided to build up a tiny wooden cottage with our own hands inside our garden. We made useful discussions about the design of the cottage on Valentines’ evening and have just started the building plan now. It is actually making our life much busier but Jim and I feel splendid. Our life is not entirely packed and alienated now, as we have work to do in our own design. What is more, we both know that we are making something that would last for years to come.

I owe much of it to the little keyboard app and the Valentine’s theme. I think I will keep using Typany Keyboard and this ‘Love Gift’ theme for quite a long time. Yes I am generally sceptical about modern technology, but I’ll make an exception for something that inspired my creativity and my positive attitude to life, to love, to everything. Thank you Typany, for giving me the best gift of my life.
